Toni, what made you apply for a position at Korkia?

Many things that are interesting and important to me come together at Korkia. Examples include meaningfulness of work, genuinely responsible and value-adding investment, and innovation in business. Doing meaningful work is something that has gained a lot of weight in my own values in recent years. Renewable energy is crucial for the environment and our planet, and at Korkia I can concretely contribute to a better future for the next generations in the rapidly developing alternative investment segment. Korkia also combines sustainable development and profitable investing brilliantly – it’s great that you don’t have to give up either. In addition, Korkia’s business model is very innovative even from an international perspective, which provides a competitive advantage in terms of new investments.

What kind of energy do you bring to the work community and team?

Definitely positive and forward-looking energy. I’d rather focus my energy on cheering on a colleague than crying over spilled milk. Of course, any spilled milk needs to be cleaned up, but too much regret won’t change any situation and you should direct your energy towards things you have influence over. There are many sides to most things, and even with negative events there might be a silver lining to be found – if one is willing to look for it. Also, I believe that we should never forget the power of a smile in the work community, it’s contagious!

A book that left a deep impression on you:

The Core – Better Life, Better Performance by Aki Hintsa. Rarely have I read the same book more than once, but this one is an exception. The book discusses, in a suitably philosophical but at the same time practical way, what a holistic person consists of and how to be the best version of yourself. It makes you reflect and put things into perspective. I can warmly recommend this book to anyone interested in understanding and developing themselves!
