Ilkka Lakaniemi joined Eera’s Business Development Partner network

Mr Ilkka Lakaniemi (Lic.Pol.Sc) has joined Eera’s Business Development Partner network. His field of speciality is building business and innovation ecosystems as well as strategic partnerships.

He has since 2013 been heading the Future Internet Public Private Partnership (FI-PPP) program of the European Commission, www.fiware.org. In this program 150 European organisations have built a common innovation ecosystem, which today has over 1,000 business users, is used by over 80 cities in a common Intelligent City program. As a commercial continuation of the program, a new open source foundation has been founded. Ilkka is also an advisor to the Finnish Chambers of Commerce and an Executive in Residence at the Aalto University as well as a strategic advisor to several companies.
