Moonvalley Capital, a leading financial services firm based in Santiago, Chile and focused in Latin America, announced today the start of a strategic alliance with Korkia, a Helsinki, Finland, based financial services company focusing on sustainable investing, especially renewable energy.
According to the agreement, Moonvalley Capital and Korkia established a partnership to invest in the acquisition, construction, and sales of solar energy plant portfolios of projects that qualifies as “PMGD” (Pequeños Medios de Generación Distribuida) with individual installed capacity up to 9 MW each in Chile. The partnership seeks to contribute to a sustainable energy matrix for Chile.
This partnership will allow Moonvalley Capital to benefit from the global expertise of Korkia in investing and managing renewable energy assets. Korkia has an extensive track record with approximately 700 MWp of solar energy investments and management commitments. In Chile through its local entity, Asesorias RAM, Korkia has 100 MW operative solar assets under management.
This agreement will also allow Korkia to gain access to Moonvalley Capital’s broad network of contacts and local presence, as well as benefit from Moonvalley Capital’s strategic view and experience in the Energy Market in Chile.
